Trials

Crops planted: Sweet Corn and Green Beans.

The Green Beans were successful with a 2:1 improvement in yield using this new system of fertilizing

Bean Harvest:

Row 1, no fertilizer-  20%

Row 2, fertilizer applied- 40%

Row 3, fertilizer applied-  40%

Total Yield- 11-3/4lbs

To illustrate the effects, a couple of passes were made on a section of garden that was not planted. This was a single "shot" of 46-0-0, Urea

Weeded and fertilized, the plants flourished and were quite healthy providing abundant edibles. The plants that were weeded and deprived of fertilizer did “OK.” The plants that were neglected in all respects produced little edibles if at all any. The big surprise was the plants that were neglected to be weeded but still had a couple of rounds of fertilizing dosages applied: The weeds were “happy” as well as the targeted plants. This had the effect of providing the desirable plants with enough nutrition to produce ample edibles. In other words, one can neglect the laborious act of weeding, apply fertilizer sparingly using this new fertilizing system and be provided with ample edibles!
